Welcome to my BCC faculty website! Here you will find out more about me and my professional background. In addition to being Associate Vice President of the Honors Institute, I also teach an Honors public speaking class (SPC 1600) at BCC every fall.

On the right is an original Opus cartoon drawn for me by the comic strip's author, Berkley Breathed ("Bloom County"), when he visited my class. While Opus, and my students, may be nervous on the first day of class, I know they will leave with confidence in their ability to prepare and deliver speeches. I also promise that my students will never have to make a speech on the first day!
