Editing Discussion Topics

Step 1: Under Course Tools, select Discussions (see figure below). Note: You must be in the Build or Teach Tabs to edit discussion topic properties.

Step 2: Click the ActionLink icon next to the topic you wish to edit, and then select Edit Properties (see figure below).

Step 3: The Edit Topic Properties page appears (see figure below). From this page, you can edit any of the settings established when you first created the topic settings (e.g., Title, Description, Topic Gradbility, Topic Settings, etc.). Note: When the topic was created, if the Topic is Gradable check box was selected, a column for the topic was automatically added to the Grade Book tool. If you uncheck that option (assuming the column does not contain grades), you’ll need to delete the column for this topic from the Grade Book.

Step 4: Click the Save button when you are finished revising your discussion topic. After clicking Save, you will be returned to the main Discussion page, and your edits will be applied.
