Using the Sy llabus Tool Once the Syllabus Tool has been added it will now appear on the Course Menu.
Step 1. Click on the Build Tab. Click on the Syllabus Tool from the Course Menu. If you are looking for a "chunked" or section syllabus for students, click on the "Use built-in" syllabus and click select.
Step 2. Add Syllabus Item. WebCt offers some categories that you could use for the syllabus. The recommended method to add a syllabus item from the list is to choose Custom HTML.
Step 3. Click the down arrow next to Add Syllabus Item. Select Custom HTML.
Step 4. Click Enable HTML Creator. Change the header for appropriate heading. You have the ability to change the text and can either add your own material or copy and paste from your previous syllabus.
Step 4. Using your
own syllabus. If
you use your own syllabus, copy and paste the text, including the links.
The links will copy over to the HTML editor and will remain in tact.
Step 5. Click Save. Section now appears in list. Repeat steps 2 - 5. View Syllabus from Student View or Printable View.
