Beginning summer term, May 7th, the college will no longer be using Blackboard as its course management system but will be switching to a tool called Desire2Learn, or D2L for short.  Your courses will look a little different but will have the same tools plus additional cool features.  Your login username and password will be the same as the one you are using now to log into Blackboard.  You can access D2L from the BC website as you do now, or go directly to https://bconline.broward.edu/. You will not be able to access summer courses until May 7th.  If you’d like to know more about how the new system will look, what new features it has, and try out a live demo course, go to:  http://www.broward.edu/itech/d2l/.  Contact the BConline office at bconline@broward.edu or 954-201-6564 with any questions.

Course web sites will be available at the start of the semester. Your password will not work until that time.
Computer readiness is extremely important. You most likely will need a new version of Java.
If you encounter problems, contact the instructor or the 24/7 help desk (see bottom of this page) immediately. DO NOT WAIT THINKING THE PROBLEM WILL RESOLVE ITSELF.
