I'm a big fan of case studies. I started using them a number of years before I came to BCC, and currently you will see some in class, I will give you some on this web site and in handouts, and also as a written class assignment. I hope you enjoy solving microbial puzzles. Try making up some of your own cases!

Not all of the information in a case study will tell you what the patient has. Some is important and some is irrelevant. The key to success is picking out the distinctive symptoms that indicate what the patient has or rule out what they do not have.
