The
BC Mathematics Learning Community As part of a Title V Grant, Professor Abe Bigss has created a simple, but yet creative and effecient way to communicate and share information with other Math Professors on North, Central and South Campuses. Using a course shell in Blackboard, Professor Biggs set up a course homepage with folders identifying content and information areas that are important for the math community.
Professor Biggs has also set up discussion forums allowing for more collaboration between campuses.
In addition, forums have been set up for specific courses. In the MAT 0012 Forum, for example, math instructors can find coursework assistance from Best Practices to Syllabus Requirements to sample course content.
