College's "Quality Standards for e-Learning Course Design" combine and integrate BC-specific standards with Quality Matters Standards. For an e-learning course, blended/hybrid or fully online, to be BC internally QM certified, it must meet all 40 standards of BC "Quality Standards for e-Learning Course Design".
For any e-learning course to be nationally QM recognized, it must go through a rigirous faculty peer review process, meet all the Essential Standards in Quality Matters Standards and achieve a score of 72 or more out of 85. All nationally QM recognized courses are featured on the official Quality Matters website.
This site showcases some exemplary and quality e-learning courses that have been either BC internally QM certified, or nationally QM recognized, or both. It shows how BC e-learning faculty effectively integrate technology with pedagogy to facilitate student learning and success. Please
